Frequently asked questions.

What comes with my website?

Website Templates includes one editable website created from your selected Standard design, starter content and images, and website hosting with 100 MB of storage. Personalize the sample details so they accurately describe your business.

Do I need a separate hosting plan?

No separate hosting plan is needed for the included template website. Domain registration and business email are separate purchases. Website Builder, WordPress hosting, and cPanel plans are separate products.

What is my website address?

Your website includes an address on websites-1.thehostbarn.com or websites-2.thehostbarn.com, on the network assigned to your selected design. For your own business web address, purchase a domain separately and arrange its connection. Buying a domain alone does not connect it.

How much storage is included?

The current plan includes 100 MB of website storage. Resize and compress your photos before uploading, and avoid uploading large video files. Contact us if you have questions about your storage needs; additional storage options are not listed here.

Is business email included?

Business email is separate from the website subscription. A mailbox uses a domain you control and requires its own setup.

What are the subscription prices?

The Standard plan is $7.99 per month or $79 every 12 months, with no setup fee or trial. Your selected subscription renews automatically at the same interval until cancelled. Review the plan and Service Terms at checkout.

Can I subscribe now?

Preview a Standard design in the Website Templates collection, then choose that design to open the correct checkout. Contact us if you need help choosing.

Who can help me?

Getting started.

Prepare your business details
  1. Gather your business name, logo, phone number, contact email, service area, and opening hours.
  2. List the services you actually offer and choose a few photos of your own work.
  3. Check any claims about licenses, insurance, warranties, or experience before adding them.
  4. Plan which action you want visitors to take: call, ask a question, or request an estimate.
Sign in to your website

Existing customers can use the Website Templates login page and their own account details. Open the website assigned to your account before editing. If you cannot sign in, contact us for help; never send your password.

Sign in to Network ASign in to Network B

Use the network shown in your purchase or account confirmation. The two networks have separate accounts. Use Lost your password on that network’s sign-in screen for a recovery email. You can cancel future renewal using Cancel Membership in your Account section; access continues through the paid period shown there.

Find your way around the editor

Use the editing controls provided for your own website. Start with one small change, preview it, and save using the controls shown. Available controls depend on your template and account; if a setting is missing, ask for help before following a general WordPress tutorial.

You do not need to install themes or plugins to personalize your starter content.

Common editing tasks.

Use these practical checklists alongside the editor available on your website.

Update your words and services
  1. Open the page or content area you want to change using your website’s editing controls.
  2. Replace sample company details with your own. Explain your services in clear language your customers use.
  3. Remove services you do not offer and check that headings and buttons still make sense.
  4. Preview the changes, then save or publish with the controls provided.
Add photos that show your work
  1. Choose photos you own or have permission to use.
  2. Crop, resize, and compress images before uploading to make the most of your 100 MB storage.
  3. Use the image controls provided to replace the sample photo. Add a short, useful description where an alternative-text field is available.
  4. Preview on a phone and computer to check the crop, sharpness, and page layout.
Keep your contact details accurate
  1. Check your phone number, email address, business name, service area, and hours everywhere they appear.
  2. If link editing is available, check that call and email buttons point to the correct number and address.
  3. Preview the page and try the contact buttons.
  4. If your site has a contact form, submit a test and confirm it arrives in the intended inbox, including checking spam.
Review your pages and navigation

Keep page names short and make your services and contact details easy to find. When page or menu controls are available, check each destination after changing a name, hiding content, or moving a page. If those controls are not shown, ask us for help rather than changing theme settings.

Check before you publish
  1. Remove sample business names, phone numbers, addresses, and placeholder copy.
  2. Proofread your services and check your photos and contact details.
  3. Preview on desktop and mobile, then use the save or publish control available in your editor.
  4. Open the public website to confirm your changes and test its links.

Previewing alone does not necessarily save or publish a change. Read the status shown by your editor.

Connect your business web address.

What do I need before connecting a domain?

You need a registered domain, access to its domain-management account, and the correct destination for your template website. Domain registration and connection are separate steps. If you use business email, its mail records must be preserved.

How do I request help connecting it?

Contact us with your domain name, template website address, and the company where your domain is managed. We can help identify the next steps. Do not send account passwords, verification codes, or API keys.

Use connection instructions specific to your website before changing DNS. An incorrect record can interrupt your website or email.

Still need a hand?

Tell us what you are trying to do, which page is affected, and any message you see. Include your website address so we can understand the question.
